Welcome to FusionPipe's first
"Security Briefing" Newsletter
 
I wanted to welcome you to the inaugural edition of our newly named Newsletter Security Briefing. As with all of our Newsletters, we attempt to bring you the most current and topical world news regarding cybersecurity and authentication. We promise to provide new insights into security issues that are affecting us all, with easy to read summary information, including links to what we think are further thought leader inputs, for those of you who wish to do a deeper dive.

And of course, forgive us for adding in our 2 cents when we believe that our current and future R&D initiatives, such as our newly announced UBC Capstone wearables project discussed below and innovative solutions, may be of interest to you.

We encourage you to provide us with feedback as to whether or not we are meeting these editorial goals. We want to hear from you so that we can continuously improve our newsletter content, and provide timely, relevant and interesting information, to digest and share as you wish.

FusionPipe Software sponsors University of British Columbia (UBC) ECE Capstone Project to develop Gesture Controlled Wearable Solution

Vancouver, BC — September 17, 2014 — FusionPipe Software Solutions Inc. (“FusionPipe”), a Vancouver-based leader in providing world-class, password-less and virtually unbreakable and secure mobile data security solutions for Enterprises, today announced that it is the industry sponsor for a Capstone project with students in UBC’s Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering (ECE) department to develop a gesture and motion controlled solution primarily for Healthcare environments.
   
Capstone is utilizing a Thalmic Labs’ Myo armband, a gesture controlled wearable that uses subtle arm and hand gestures to allow users to operate in a hands-free environment for Healthcare. The project is focused on complementing FusionPipe’s password-less authentication technology utilizing Bluetooth® Smart, wirelessly opening or accessing a PC, computer terminal or mobile device when in proximity, without having to touch a screen or a traditional keyboard and mouse. The Myo armband lets you use the electrical activity produced in a person’s muscles to wirelessly control any device.
